About Program Fold
Program Fold is a small tool by Tomorrowish for music and dance teachers, directors and students who need a tidy program without fighting a word processor.
Where the data comes from
- Composers: names and birth and death years from Wikidata (CC0). About 12,000 composers ship with the site; others are searched live. Dates on Wikidata are edited by volunteers and are occasionally wrong; you can always change them.
- Works: titles, keys and catalogue numbers from MusicBrainz (core data CC0). Thank you to the MusicBrainz editors.
- Scores: links to IMSLP where MusicBrainz knows the page. We link; we don't copy anything from IMSLP.
We ask both services politely: one shared cache for every visitor, at most one MusicBrainz request a second, and a User-Agent that says who we are.
Fonts and code
- EB Garamond, Jost and Cormorant Garamond, under the SIL Open Font License.
- pdf-lib and fontkit (MIT) draw the PDFs in your browser; qrcode-generator (MIT) draws the QR codes. "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE.
- Full notices: LICENSES.txt.
Ornaments (rules, diamonds, snowflakes) are drawn by the code. There is no clip art and no AI-generated art in Program Fold.
