Concert program template
School and community concerts usually have several groups on one program. The template is the same as a recital, with a section per ensemble.
Structure
- One section per group (Chamber Singers, Concert Band, Strings), each with its pieces in order.
- Arrangers: "arr. Name" under the composer. For folk songs the composer is "traditional" plus the country.
- Soloists: on the performer line: "tenor solo: Marcus Elling".
- Personnel: the list of players or singers by section can go in a Thanks or Notes section at the end.
- Director and accompanist on the cover or the back page.
Band and orchestra
Marches and concert band pieces often have a living composer (write "b. 1953") and a publisher-style title; copy it from the score. For an orchestra, give movements under the work, one per line or separated by a middle dot.
Choir
Give the language for non-English texts if you can, and the arranger. A one-line translation of the title helps the audience: Locus iste ("This place").
